The Shack: A Critical Theological Review
If the leadership of your church does not vocally, openly, and staunchly oppose the theology presented by “The Shack,” you need to find a new church. It is really that simple. If they cannot spot the heresy in this book, they are not qualified to protect the flock from false doctrine – not in the least.

Starting chapter 4 we need and introduction to the subject of “God’s Rest.” Here are seven statements/observations from chapter 4 that will help us understand the “rest” mentioned in Hebrews 3 and 4.
God has chosen those whom He would for salvation and He has divinely predestined them to do good works. Men will receive rewards for those good works but not for works they should have done but did not. Men will also be held accountable although not for punishment sake as the punishment for sin was taken by Christ at the cross.
